Donation & Refund Policy
Effective October 29, 2026
Thank you for considering a donation. This policy explains how donations work, how you will be acknowledged, and what to do if something goes wrong.
Church of King Jesus, a South Carolina nonprofit religious corporation (EIN 42-3762746), is seeking donations of money and land to build Sanctuaries honoring Jesus as King.
Church of King Jesus is a South Carolina nonprofit religious corporation.
No goods or services are provided in exchange for donations.
Donating online
Online donations are processed by Stripe on its secure checkout page. You can pay by card, with Stripe Link, or from a US bank account. Each online donation can be from $5 to $25,000, before any fees you choose to cover. Your card or bank details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers.
Covering the fees. You may add an amount to cover the processing fees. We estimate it using card pricing, and the form shows the exact extra before you donate. What you add is part of your donation and appears on your receipt.
Bank payments. A donation from a US bank account takes a few business days to complete, and it is dated the day you authorized it. If the bank payment fails, no donation is recorded and no receipt is sent.
Monthly donations
A monthly donation is charged once a month, starting the day you set it up, until you cancel. Each receipt for a monthly donation includes a link to manage or cancel it, or you can email support@churchofkingjesus.org and we will cancel it for you. Canceling stops future charges; it does not refund earlier ones.
Receipts and statements
We email a receipt for every online donation, including each monthly charge. Each receipt links to a PDF copy; the link works for 90 days, and an expired link offers to email you a fresh one. After each year ends (we aim for January), we email a statement of your donations from the year before. Please keep your receipts and statements for your records.
If a donation changes after we receipt it (a refund, for example, or a correction to your name or address), we send an updated receipt. If we had already sent your year-end statement, we review it and send a corrected one.
Other ways to give
We also accept checks, cash, wire transfers, grants from donor-advised funds and qualified charitable distributions from an IRA. Email support@churchofkingjesus.org and we will tell you how. We acknowledge these donations as described below.
- A grant from a donor-advised fund is receipted to the fund's sponsor, not to you. We will thank you separately, but that note is not a tax receipt.
- A qualified charitable distribution is acknowledged as coming from your IRA's custodian on your behalf.
- To donate on behalf of an organization, confirm that the money belongs to the organization; otherwise the receipt is made out to you.
Dedications
You may dedicate a donation in honor of or in memory of someone. The dedication appears on your receipt.
Gifts of land and other property
Start with our Gifts of Land page. Sharing information does not commit you or the church to anything. The church's Board of Directors reviews every gift of property before the church accepts it. The church never states a value for a gift of property on any acknowledgment; please consult your own tax advisor about appraisals and tax forms.
Refunds
We want every donation to be what you intended. If you made a mistake, such as a wrong amount or a duplicate donation, or you see a donation you did not make, email support@churchofkingjesus.org within 30 days of the donation. We will review every request and refund clear mistakes. Other refund requests are at the church's discretion.
- Refunds of online donations go back to the original card or bank account through Stripe. Your bank decides how long the refund takes to appear.
- A donation made by check, cash or wire that was recorded in error is corrected in our records, and any money is returned by the church directly.
- After a refund, we send an updated receipt, and if we had already sent your year-end statement, we review it and send a corrected one.
Disputed payments
If you question a charge, please email us first; we can usually fix the problem faster than a dispute with your bank. If a dispute is decided in your favor, we send an updated receipt.
Your privacy
Our promise to donors. Your information is never sold or shared with anyone except the service providers who help us, or when the law requires.
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how long we keep it. We do not publish donor names, and if you ask to give anonymously, we will not name you in any public acknowledgment.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Each online donation is recorded with the version of this policy in force when you made it.
